Interview from the Football Collective Conference

I was honoured to be invited speak at the first conference of the Football Collective, at the FC United of Manchester ground.

My presentation introduced two overlooked concepts of talent development:

I argued that no account of the talent development process is complete without considering these two aspects. The difficulty is that they threaten to undermine the whole process. Quite often they do!

I'm hoping to do more work on these ideas over the next few months, and will try to post something on this blog.

If you don't know about this great venture, you can check it out here: https://footballcollective.wordpress.com

The Football Collective is dedicated network of people who wish to bring critical debate to football – for those interested and involved in building football for the future. Through sharp analysis and research informed original reporting, we aim to provide a platform for thought provoking critical debate in football.
Our manifesto is simple:
We are a network bringing critical debate to our game
Anyway, here is a short interview I did at the event, making the case for collaborative research in sport ...

It`s ok. But also I want to highlight the thought that is represented in the book "Minset" written by Carol Dwek. It`s about key mindset qualities of successful athletes "Character, Heart, Will, and the Mind of a Champion". I urge you to take into account mental processes. If the person want to be a champion it will think like champion despite genetics or predictions

Another area where the SSC Board lacks behind these other international education boards is first hand experiences to be given to the students. This in terms, more practical assignments for science, exposure to the latest development in computers, audio-visuals and field trips for history and geography, making the students participate in dramas, plays. All these should be very much inculcated as a part of the SSC Syllabus. This would in turn further enhance and give greater value to the SSC Watch 10th Class Result On PKResult.
